About Me

Hi! 

My name is Lisette Knutsen and I am 30 years old and live in Sweden. 

I have been creating since childhood. It has kept me company in both dark and light places in my life.

Photography is also a big part of my life, or was. Have not been photographing for years but when i did it helped me to get out when the depression wanted to keep me in and isolated. I dont know who i am without my artistic side. Its a big part of my identity. It has also helped me through lonliness, it has always been hard for me making friends and keep them. But then drawing has alwas been by my side.

And i also live with Bipolar disorder, Autism and ADD. 

When people ask me how did you think of drawing that? Or what does this painting mean? I get wierd every time because i dont think about anything. It just happens. And it has always been that way. I wish sometimes that i could have some cool deep meaning. But no.

Materials:

Inkpen, glass calligraphy pen, watercolor, markers, gelpens, sometimes acrylic and charcoal. 

Inspiration:

My biggest inspiration and my greatest joy in movies are Monty Python. Terry Gilliams exceptional animations has inspired me for many years. Im also fascinated by his drawings and his endless imagination. And also. Monty Python has brighten up my days also, when they have been the most dark.

From dubstep, to reagge, to folkmusic and every genre in between. I listen to all kinds of music, and that i must say give me great flow and much inspiration.

Art is my expression, when i no longer have words to describe how i feel.
